Splendid
The thing which attracted me to this book was the title ‘Splendid’ and the author Julia Quinn. But I can say this is definably not one of my favorite book from her. I felt that the violet-eyed-Heroin Emma was too daring to be in that era and the green-eyed-hero Alex was too confusing at times. Even though both liked each other instantly that is.. still they didn’t have any plans to get married! I did not understand why? And Emma after being so daring, stubborn and all why did she give up her dream i.e running her father’s business and where did her father vanish after prologue? These are some of the things I could not get through. But over all I enjoyed reading this only because of the writing and for the witty dialogs between the characters’!!
