The Ocean at the End of the Lane
2.5This was my first Neil Gaiman book, I picked this short one just to get introduced to his writing style and story formation but to be honest I did not enjoy reading this much. And I am blaming myself for my lack of imagination because this book again proves that, fantasy is just not my genre and I really can’t imagine things the author wants me to. There were only few parts which I could like, like the narrator’s melancholic remembrance of his childhood days which somewhere took me to my own. But rest of it just went over my head I just could not connect to this book much.
