Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor #1)
I’ve always loved Lisa Kleypas’s contemporary novels than historical though she is more famous for historical ones. Travis series is one of my favorites and I was looking forward to read her Friday Harbor series as well so started with the first book. The story is like this , Maggi was a widow and Mark after his sister’s death became a guardian of his niece Holly and had to look after her. Holly wished for a mother. Mark and Maggi fell in love and Holly’s wish was granted. Well, more than the writing I think this story is too sweet to be true. Everything sit in the right place at the right time that doesn’t happen in real life, does it? May be very rarely. So there wasn’t much to like about this book or nothing to dislike about it either. It was just an ok read.
