Oscar Wilde’s play always have a lot more to say than what we actually understand. There is always quite an abundance of irony, satire, sarcasm and whatnot in each of his words. 'Lady Windermere's Fan' is no less. This play reveals - how does a society or should I say a pseudo-society play a vital role in a husband and wife relationship! There is a lot of mockery on hypocritical society and human behavior here. Its hard to believe it was written more than 120 years ago which shows how farsighted Oscar Wilde truly was because even to this day nothing much has changed.
